Dina is a retired preschool teacher with twenty-six years of experience working as part of an early childhood special education team. She specialized in supporting children three to five years old, creating engaging social stories to help them navigate everyday situations like getting ready for bed, doctor visits, haircuts, birthday parties, etc.
As a mother of two deaf children, Dina moved from Arkansas to St. Louis to access oral deaf schools, where her children flourished.
Dina’s personal and professional experiences inspire her writing as she aims to create meaningful, inclusive stories that empower and educate young readers.
